June 22, 2012 - The Inter-American development Bank (IDB) has approved a $20 million 
loan to help Barbados improve secondary and post-secondary education and
 ensure that graduates develop skills needed to either pursue further education or enter the labor market.

“Declaration of Paramaribo” at the end of a two day meeting in the 
Surinamese capital, where they also issued recommendations on

A three day consultation is currently being held in Saint Lucia on the development of a new OECS Education Strategy. Education officials from the sub - region say the new policy will chart the way for the countries of the OECS in the area of Education - for the next ten years.
