    Castries - Feb. 1, 2012 - Heads received a progress report on the enactment of the Revised Treaty of Basseterre Establishing the OECS Economic Union (EU) into the domestic law of Member States and the attendant challenges faced by some Members in this regard.  OECS Heads of Government also received an update on the status of implementation of the regime for free movement of citizens.


    October 24, 2011 -- OECS Secretariat Castries– The OECS Council of Tourism Ministers met via video conference on October 14th,and the Council charted the way forward for the implementation of the recently finalised OECS Tourism Policy. A list of priorities was strategically selected for immediate focus from the ten broad areas proposed in the Policy.


    St. John’s Antigua- Aug. 19, 2011 - OECS tourism stakeholders who met in Antigua this week have agreed to a first ever blueprint that will guide the sub-regional industry for the next four years.


    August 16, 2011 -- Senior Tourism Officials are scheduled to meet in Antigua & Barbuda on August 16th and 17th 2011 at a workshop designed to finalize the first ever Common Tourism Policy for the OECS region. 


    March 22, 2011 -- The OECS Authority met on March 18th 2011 in Special Session at the Cabinet Room, Office of the Prime Minister, St. John’s, Antigua, to consider several critical matters related to advancing the implementation of the OECS Economic Union and operationalisation of the OECS Secretariat as the OECS Commission.


    Basseterre -- Jan. 28, 2011 -- Leaders of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) ended a two-day meeting in Grenada agreeing to an August 1 deadline for the free movement of nationals within the sub-region.


    Jan. 23, 2011 - -Member States of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States on Friday January 21, 2011, marked yet another milestone in their integration process, with the entry into force of the Revised Treaty Establishing the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Economic Union.


    OECS Secretariat, St. Lucia -- Jan. 4, 2011 -- People of the OECS have moved closer towards increased benefits associated with the free movement of skills and persons as well as better business opportunities.

    St. John's -- Dec. 31, 2010 - Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer yesterday signed the Instrument of Ratification for the Revised OECS Treaty of Basseterre Establishing OECS Economic Union.

    OECS, Castries -  Nov. 8, 2010 -- The Heads of Government of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) met in emergency session on Friday 5th November via video conference to receive reports from the two Member States that had been impacted by the passage of Hurricane Tomas.


    OECS Secretariat, Castries, St. Lucia -- Sept. 28, 2010 -- OECS Ministers for Education have decided to introduce the Caribbean Primary Exit Examination which is to replace the Common Entrance and Grade 6 national assessment.


    St. Kitts & Nevis – June 19, 2010 (WINN):  The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States began its transformation into a single economic space, with the signing of the Revised Treaty of Basseterre in St. Lucia on Friday night, establishing the OECS Economic Union.

    St. George’s, Grenada, June 13, 2010 – Both branches of parliament have given unanimous approval to Grenada’s decision to join an expanded union of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).


    Castries St. Lucia -- April 27th, 2010 --  OECS Ministers for Tourism recently concluded fruitful discussions on developing the sector in a way that is consistent with operationalising a single tourism economic space in the nine-island grouping.


    Basseterre -- Dec. 30, 2009 -- Leaders from the sub-regional Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) joined St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and current Chairman of the grouping on Tuesday in signing a treaty to establish an Economic Union.
