Miller takes 4-43 to bowl out Zimbabwe for 206


March 7, 2010 -- Left-arm spinner Nikita Miller took a career-best 4-43 as the West Indies bowled out Zimbabwe for 206 off 49.5 overs in the second Digicel One-Day International at the Guyana National Stadium on Saturday.



WICB appoints Gibson as Head Coach

St. John's, (Feb. 3, 2010) -- The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has announced the appointment of Ottis Gibson as the Head Coach of the West Indies Team.


Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: Dec. 30, 2009 -- WIPA is dismayed at the response of the Chief Executive Officer of the WICB, Dr. Ernest Hilaire, to its continued recommendation that the Regional Four-Day Tournament should remain two rounds instead of one, as the Board has recently announced.



Dec.  28, 2009 -- After the recent dispute with WIPA, it was publicly expressed by the WICB that it would be seeking to establish a relationship based on mutual trust, respect and co-operation.

WIPA Board Approves 15 Point Plan


Dec. 8th 2009 – Bridgetown, Barbados: The West Indies Players Association has proposed a 15 point plan aimed at igniting the development of West Indies cricket. The plan was formulated following discussions of the 2009 Captains’ Reports by the WIPA Board at the Board Meeting which was held last week in Barbados.

WIPA Responds on Breakdown of Mediation


Sept. 8, 2009 --"It is, therefore, mystifying and alarming to hear the WICB complain, on the one hand, about Mr. Ramnarine’s absence which did not affect the process in anyway but, on the other, not mention their delaying the process at the start and the concomitant prevention of any swift  start to the substantive mediation."

WICB: Disciplinary Matters to be Continued


Bridgetown -- Sept. 7, 2009 --  The WICB Executive Meeting has announced that it will continue the disciplinary matters against offending players.


Sept. 5, 2009 -- From Julian Hunte, President WICB - "I am advised that the articulation of the WICB’s position by Sir Shridath in his press statements and in his final report to you are factually incorrect and that there was never any adoption by the WICB during the mediation proceedings of an unwillingness to negotiate on the proposed Mediation Agreement which it submitted on the night of August 31, 2009."
