    St. George’s, Grenada, June 13, 2010 - Both branches of parliament have given unanimous approval to Grenada’s decision to join an expanded union of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).


    Castries St. Lucia -- April 27th, 2010 --  OECS Ministers for Tourism recently concluded fruitful discussions on developing the sector in a way that is consistent with operationalising a single tourism economic space in the nine-island grouping.


    Basseterre -- Dec. 30, 2009 -- Leaders from the sub-regional Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) joined St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and current Chairman of the grouping on Tuesday in signing a treaty to establish an Economic Union.


    Nov. 21, 2009 -- The new Treaty of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) will be signed in the St. Kitts capital in December.

    Jan. 22, 2009 - The Special Joint Meeting of the OECS Authority and the ECCB Monetary Council was held at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank in St Kitts and Nevis on 15 16 January 2009.


    March 18, 2013 - OECS Member States are to meet in Saint Lucia from Tuesday March 19 to Friday March 22nd 2013, on how to use credible data from social development programmes to further inform policies for reducing or eliminating juvenile delinquency.

    The Caribbean Local Economic Development Project (CARILED) applauds the success of three day conference CUF 2013: [R]Evolution, the 3rd Annual Caribbean Urban Forum.  As an advocate for local economic development projects in the Caribbean, CARILED continues to partner with groups that promote local governance, community engagement and knowledge transfer in urban planning and overall growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in the Caribbean. 


    Feb. 21, 2013 - A series of national consultations for identifying national and regional measures to better facilitate trade in keeping with the emerging commitments being negotiated on Trade Facilitation in the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has started for OECS Member States.


    Dec. 5, 2012 - Agriculture stakeholders in Saint Lucia have advanced their knowledge and application in ICT through the first OECS Web 2.0 Learning Opportunities workshop.


    Oct. 3, 2012 - Telecoms Ministers from the OECS will for the first time meet in Antigua for the 26th meeting of the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL) council slated for October 4th to 5th at the Grand Royal Antiguan Resort.


    OECS Secretariat, Castries - Sept. 20, 2012-- The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is to provide technical assistance in transferring to the OECS Secretariat, a website with useful Population and Housing Census information for Member States.


    Aug. 12, 2012 - The meeting of the OECS Assembly is an historic event of tremendous import for the peoples of the Eastern Caribbean, as it signals the widening and deepening of socio-economic, cultural and now legislative ties between the countries and territories of the Eastern Caribbean.

    Basseterre - Aug. 8, 2012 - The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court has its first acting female Chief Justice.


    Castries - Aug. 8, 2012 - The Inaugural Session of the OECS Assembly is to take place at the Parliament Building of Antigua and Barbuda on Friday August 10th 2012.

    St. John's - July 26, 2012 - It’s all systems go, as Antigua and Barbuda gets prepared to host the historic regional assembly for the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
