| I am a retired journalist who writes books. I have just completed "Hill-an'-Gully Rider," which is set in a Caribbean island and looks at politics, the environment, shade prejudice and the legacy of Colonialism. I try to keep the tone light-hearted and breezy and there are interludes of comedy and romance. I was born in Jamaica and worked for newspapers there, as well as in Haiti and North America.
