Dec. 1, 2011 - At their monthly meeting here on Wednesday, the 33 UN member States of the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC) unanimously endorsed Antigua and Barbuda’s Ambassador to the United Nations H.E. Dr. John W. Ashe, to become the President of the Sixty-eight Session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 68), when that position rotates to the region in September 2013.

Nov. 17, 2011 - Commonwealth Heads of Government met in Perth, Australia, from 28 to 30 October 2011, under the theme ‘Building National Resilience, Building Global Resilience’. Reflecting on the unique nature of the Commonwealth, a voluntary association which brings together 54[1] developing and developed nations from six continents, Heads reaffirmed their commitment to the values and principles of the Commonwealth and agreed to a series of actions to maintain the Commonwealth’s relevance, to ensure its effectiveness in responding to contemporary global challenges and to build resilient societies and economies

Sept. 29, 2011 - Plans are well underway for the Caribbean Shipping Association's (CSA) 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) next month, October 10 -12 at the Hilton Barbados. The CSA is the voice of the region's shipping industry and a major regional forum in which matters relevant to the growth and development of Caribbean shipping are discussed.

St. George's - June 24, 2010: The Government of Grenada and the European Union (EU) Delegation to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean have finalised a project that will provide approximately EC$800,000 for technical assistance and training over the next twelve months.

The 9th Commonwealth Women's Affairs Ministers Meeting (9WAMM) was held in Bridgetown, Barbados on 7-9 June 2010. Delegations from 32 countries attended the Meeting.

BOGOTÁ, Colombia - April 18, 2010 -- Mayors of 41 cities in Latin America and the Caribbean today established the Cities Alliance for Citizen Security, a regional dialogue network aimed at sharing experiences of innovation in violence and crime prevention and control, with an impact on quality of life and improved citizen security.
