Martinique wants to organize a Caribbean conference on climate change. In the context of the World Climate Conference in December in Paris, the French Region Martinique wants to organize a Caribbean conference on climate change. Serge Letchimy, the President of the Regional Council has made this announcement at the 60th Summit of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States marked by the accession of Martinique to Associate Membership.

Among the several projects, Serge Letchimy has announced the joint implementation of a linguistic and educational immersion mechanism for Martinican youths, within families and high schools as part of a Caribbean ERASMUS programme baptised CESAIRUS and a call for projects in light of a sail ship cargo service for the development of inter-island import-export commercial exchange.

He delivered an important information for the health in Caribbean, the project of installation of a cyclotron to better detect and treat cancer, a concrete example of medical solidarity in the Caribbean.
