Sept. 1, 2010 -- At 1100 am, the center of tropical depression nine was located near latitude 12.4 north...longitude 35.8 west. The depression is moving toward the west near 15 mph...24 km/hr. The cyclone should move toward the west or west-northwest at a slower forward speed during the next two days.



Sept. 1, 2010 -- A tropical storm warning is in effect for St. Martin and St. Barts. A tropical storm watch is in effect for Antigua & Barbuda, Montserrat, St Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius.



Fiona Moving Quickly Westward

Aug. 31, 2010 -- Tropical storm warning is in effect for St. Martin, St Barths. A tropical storm watch is in effect for Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius.



Aug. 30, 2010 -- Interests in the northern Leeward Islands should monitor the progress of Fiona. A tropical storm watch may be required for a portion of this area later this evening.

Aug. 29, 2010 -- A hurricane warning is in effect for Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, Saint Martin, Saint Barthelemy, St. Maarten, Saba, St. Eustatius. A hurricane watch is in effect for BVI, USVI, Puerto Rico, Culebra and Vieques. A tropical storm warning is in effect for BVI, USVI, Puerto Rico.



Aug. 25, 2010 -- At 11AM, the center of tropical depression 7 was located near latitude 14.3 north, longitude 30.8 west. The depression is moving toward the west near 17 mph. This general motion is expected to continue during the next day or two.


Aug. 24, 2010 -- We believe that the next two weeks will be characterized by activity at above-average levels (greater than 130 percent of climatology).

Aug. 23, 2010 -- At 1100am, the center of TS Danielle was located near latitude 15.1 North, longitude 39.4 West. Danielle is moving toward the west-northwest near 16mph and a slight increase in forward speed is expected over the next day.
