Houston - Feb. 9, 2012-- Nexant announced today that the company has been engaged to assist the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and its affiliated state agencies in hosting a high-level energy marketing mission designed to facilitate investment and promote partnership opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago’s rapidly growing energy sector. The two-day round of meetings and discussions is scheduled to be held February 28th and 29th, 2012 at the J.W. Marriott Houston (Galleria).

Led by the Honorable Senator Kevin Ramnarine, Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs, a 15-member delegation of senior executives from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs, The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC), National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NEC) and The Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (Petrotrin) will meet with investment companies and industry partners to discuss opportunities in a number of key areas, including exploration and production (particularly offshore, deep-water), refining and downstream in the areas of melamine derivatives, inorganic chemicals, and plastics conversion.

Participants will have an opportunity to have formal one-on-one meetings as well as informal sessions with members of the delegation on both days. A gala reception will also be hosted by the Honorable Minister on the evening of February 28th.
