Antigua and Barbuda Signs Debt Rescheduling Agreement with France

St. John's - April 26, 2011 - Antigua and Barbuda has signed an agreement rescheduling a 25 year old debt to the Government of France. The agreement was signed on Thursday April 21st by Finance
and Economy Minister the Hon Harold Lovell and France’s Ambassador to the OECS, Michel Prom. France has agreed to a fixed interest rate of 3.1 per cent on the 34 million US dollar debt, payable over 15 years. Similar bilateral agreements are to be signed with Brazil and Japan.
