Port-of-Spain -- Nov. 15, 2010 -- Over the next five days, twenty Immigration Officers from
eleven CARICOM Member States and seven Law Enforcement Officers from the
Special Anti Crime Unit of Trinidad and Tobago (SAUTT) will participate in a
Train the Trainer Workshop designed to improve the skills of both new and
experienced trainers.
The Workshop, a collaborative effort between the
Center for Development Administration (CARICAD) and the Implementation Agency
for Crime and Security (IMPACS) is intended to have both an immediate and long
- term impact on service delivery and security at the borders of the Region’s
member states. It is structured in such a way that participants can acquire
proven techniques and strategies to both design training modules and deliver the
critical information themselves.
The Workshop is being hosted at the Cumuto Training
Facilities of the Special Anti-Crime Unit of Trinidad and Tobago (SAUTT). Its
funding has come from the British Department for International Development
(DFID) through a project with CARICAD in support of Regional integration.
