Resort offers 360 rooms
Cap Estate, St. Lucia --- 7 Nov. 2006 --- Almond Resorts, the Caribbean's premier all-inclusive chain of resorts will open its newest property, Almond Smugglers Cove in St. Lucia, in February 2007. "It is a spectacular location with 60 acres of tropical gardens which we are developing in a very eco-sensitive manner," says Chairman Ralph Taylor of the resort chain. "Our informal, village style tropical setting on this secluded St. Lucian bay is designed to provide a high quality, all-inclusive vacation experience for singles, couples and families."
Situated on the northwest coast of St. Lucia in Cap Estates, Almond Smugglers Cove is just 8 miles from the capital, Castries. The resort will have a selection of four gourmet restaurants offering fine wines and a variety of cuisines from Continental and casual Italian, to fresh seafood and traditional St. Lucian fare. There will be a choice of five bars, including a swim-up one at the pool, all serving premium brand drinks as part of the resort's all-inclusive program.
A Special Bonus:
Adjacent to Almond Smugglers Cove resort, is The Great House, a gourmet restaurant acclaimed as one of St. Lucia's finest dining experiences. This grand plantation house is not part of the Almond premium all-inclusive program, but as a special consideration, guests of Almond Smugglers Cove wishing to dine at The Great House will receive a credit to use against the expense.
Facilities:
Almond Smugglers Cove is scheduled to open on February 1, 2007. The resort will have 360 rooms in 5 categories ranging from standard to deluxe and one bedroom beachfront suites, each freshly refurbished and sporting a terrace, air conditioning, in-room safe, king size or twin beds (per guests' request), Cable-TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee machine, iron and board. The hotel will offer room service for lunch and dinner. Internet access will be available at a nominal charge.
Activities:
In addition to watersports like snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, water skiing and banana boat rides, Almond Smugglers Cove offers golf at the nearby Cap Estate Golf Course (greens fees are waived for three 18-hole rounds per 7-nights' stay, but cart rental is a requirement). The Racquet Club at Almond Smugglers Cove will have seven tennis courts, a squash court and the resort will have a fitness center and beauty treatment rooms offering a range of spa services from facials to massages. The 60-acre resort will have five freshwater swimming pools and, feature the signature Almond Kids' Club, specially designed to provide educational fun to kids of all ages. Fully qualified Kids' Club staff keep the youngsters happily entertained with playgrounds, kiddie pools and well-equipped activity centers set up to deal with separate age groups, from nursery level to 16+ years. For the convenience of guests with infants and small children, private babysitting services will be available at an additional charge, payable locally. The resort will offer nightly entertainment.
