Ann Phelan formerly a school counselor devotes her time to creating vacation packages for Caribbean bound clients. In her free time she volunteers running sporting events on the island of Bonaire. She is a windsurf enthusiast, free lance writes and enjoys spending her free time with her enthusiastic fun loving 16 year old, her 85 year young Mom and her 2 cats and 2 dogs. Ann is a US and Irish citizen and lives to travel. Bonaire - June 15, 2009 -- The weeks are coming closer to an exciting series of windsurfing events in Bonaire. Bonaire is proud to host Bonaire IFCA Slalom Worlds, Year One and Pro Kids Freestyle, Year 5. Windsurfing is the unofficial national sport on this Dutch Caribbean island. Bonaire has hosted 3 PWA events and is excited for the 2009 Series to be held at windy Lac Bay. The entire island embraces their windsurf culture and warmly welcomes all July 12-19 for the two events. The week long event will focus on beach culture and sailing. Competitors from Hawaii, The Netherlands, Martinique, Poland, Denmark and Austria have already registered. Team Venezuela is slated to attend. A contingent from Aruba and Curacao is expected.
