ST. JOHNS, Antigua, May 22, 2009 – LIAT wishes to advise that it continues to be affected by Friday’s sickout action by flight crews in Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada and St. Vincent, however, the carrier is working resolutely at solving the problems brought on by this situation. 

The action by the flights crews resulted in the interruption of some early morning flights and this has had a knock-on effect on flights throughout the LIAT network. 

While the company is doing everything to minimize the effect on passengers, they are being advised that for the rest of the day they should expect further delays and possible cancellations.

ST. JOHNS, Antigua, May 22, 2009, LIAT wishes to advise that there has been a partial disruption in its service as flight crews based in Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada, and St. Vincent called in sick Friday morning. This action has resulted in the cancellation of the following flights in Barbados - LI370 to St. Lucia and Martinique and LI754 to Antigua. 

In Trinidad the affected flights are LI704 to Barbados; LI310 to Grenada, St. Vincent and Antigua; LI308 to St. Lucia and Antigua, LI384 to St. Vincent, St. Lucia and San Juan and LI771 to Curacao. 

In Grenada the affected flights are LI754 to St. Vincent and Barbados; LI310 to Trinidad, Grenada, St. Vincent and Antigua and LI303 to Trinidad.
