Castries—Sept, 22 2008--The East Caribbean Financial Holding Company Limited publicly launched another subsidiary on Saturday, 13th September 2008 at The Cap Grill at the St. Lucia Golf Club. ECFH Global Investment Solutions Limited, also known as Global Investments, is the newest addition to the ECFH family. The ceremony which was attended by many local businessmen saw the feature address being delivered by the governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Sir Dwight Venner.

The launch of this latest subsidiary came as a result of the restructuring of the Bank of Saint Lucia Investment Banking division. Due to the scope of the work undertaken by the department it was necessary to create a wealth and asset management unit aptly titled the Bank of Saint Lucia Wealth & Asset Management Department and the new subsidiary Global Investments.

During his opening remarks Managing Director of the ECFH Robert Norstrom noted that the establishment of Global Investments will help the ECFH capitalize on the increase in interest in the region. He alluded to the fact that the recently held ECFH co-sponsored Euromoney
Conference held in Trinidad and Tobago saw representatives from throughout the region and the US. Companies like JP Morgan confirmed their continued commitment to the region and it's against this backdrop that Mr. Norstrom feels that regional companies should take the lead in the development of our capital markets.

In his feature address Sir Dwight lauded praise on the ECFH for its innovative spirit, its strong balance sheet and strong customer confidence. He went on to applaud the East Caribbean Financial Holding Company Limited for its firm support of the ECCB and its initiatives. He also acknowledged the Group's international outlook through its vision statement "Global Growth from Local Roots".

Global Investments was established to ensure that there was a clear separation between the brokerage business and commercial banking which is an international standard. The subsidiary offers a number of services including Custody Services, Capital market Services, Merchant Banking Services and Product development. Global Investments will be headed by Senior Manager- Mrs. Carla Morton-Campbell.

The ECFH continues to be a leader in financial services in the Eastern Caribbean being the first to offer this specialized service.
