Three bills to be debated
Basseterre, St. Kitts -- April 17, 2008 -- Two bills will be
introduced and given their first reading and debated when the St.
Christopher and Nevis National Assembly meets in a regular session,
after a Special Sitting, on Friday 18th April. A third bill, introduced
last year will be given its second reading and debated.
Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will
introduce The Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Bill and Attorney General
and Minister of Justice and Legal Affiars, Hon. Dennis Merchant will
introduce The Organised Crime (Prevention and Control) (Amendment) Bill.
The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College Bill introduced and given its first
reading on June 28th 2007, will be given its second reading and debated
at Friday’s sitting. That bill stands in the name of Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, Social and Community
Development and Gender Affiars, Hon. Sam Condo.
