July 12, 200 7-- The most international ICT event ever to be held in the Caribbean is taking place between the 24th & 26th September 2007 at The Ritz Carlton, Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica and is being organised by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO).

The CTO’s 5th Annual Forum will focus upon convergence and the development of NGN’s to facilitate ICT convergence. CTO members and senior level industry stakeholders from the USA, Europe, Africa and Asia will be there to listen and discuss how policy, regulation, and technology will effect development. Stakeholders from all over the Caribbean, and indeed the Commonwealth, are encouraged to attend to take advantage of:

  • 30 confirmed speakers providing different global perspectives
  • 6 hours of scheduled interactive discussion to enhance your conference experience.
  • 13 hours of informal networking for you to develop your knowledge and contact base.
  • 18 country case studies providing you with a huge variety of best practices
  • 12 private sector presentations from global leaders

Participants will be amongst an excellent cross section of the Commonwealth and international ICT market and have the opportunity to delve into the core issues surrounding what many experts see as the biggest change in the sector since liberalisation. It is essential for the ICT industry in the Caribbean that this wide range of stakeholders are brought together at this stage, so that issues such as the role of the Public and Private sectors can be discussed and analysed.
