St. John's Antigua -- March 14, 2007 -- Antigua and Barbuda will be represented at the 2007 Vacation Expo being held in Curacao from March 15 - 18.

This is the second year that the Ministry of Tourism will capitalize on the over 5000 attendees and buyers present, to promote the twin island state as the ideal Caribbean vacation spot.

The three member delegation includes Marketing Officer - Annette Michael, Research Officer - Patrice Skerritt and Communications Officer to the Ministry - Maria Blackman.

While in Curacao they will showcase the products and services that Antigua & Barbuda has to offer.

"As 2007 is a festive year for Antigua and Barbuda, we will also be interacting with the attendees and encouraging them to vacation on our islands at this time, so that they can witness and participate in our 40th Sailing Week, 50th Carnival celebrations and other milestone events," said Blackman.

The Ministry of Tourism will also use this opportunity to do some market research, with Research officer, Patrice Skerritt inquiring of travel agents about the various travel patterns and demographics of their clients.

Curacao's first annual Vacation Expo last year, attracted participants from national tourism authorities, travel agents, tour operators, major hotels, cruise lines, and international airlines from within the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe.
