The
Marina and Communications
Manager for Port Louis Mr. Danny Donelan added to Mr. De Savary’s comments by
emphasising the significance that De Savary group was placing on the
environment. “The environment is one of our main priorities. While we build and
develop this beautiful area we will do so in an environmentally conscious way
as we have always done with our projects. This is why we are placing so much
emphasis on the clean up process. We also have to ensure that the waters of the
marina are in perfect shape to berth the many yachts which we expect for World
Cup Cricket 2007,” said Donelan.
While the clean up job is a
massive one Donelan noted that he is very pleased with the cooperation of the
fishing and catamaran boat owners who presently use the marina to berth their
boats. Donelan stated that “The owners have been very supportive to Mr.
de Savary and his team, so as to allow the steady progress of work in the area.
We take this opportunity to thank them for their co-operation.”
