$70,000 to Rebuild Basketball Court at Queens Park Grenada

Facility will enhance quality of life


St. George’s, Grenada – 5 Jan., 2007 --– Residents of River Road and Darbeau in St. George's will soon have a new fully equipped hard court. Peter de Savary of Port Louis Grenada & Robin Patterson of the Hog Island/Four Seasons project has donated EC Seventy thousand dollars for the refurbishment and redesign of the court. The new court will be fully equipped with flood lights and adequate security fencing.

Minister of Tourism Hon. Brenda Hood thanked Mr. de Savary and Mr. Patterson for their generosity. She said “Projects like Port Louis and the Hog Island/Four Season projects will not only have a beneficial impact on Grenada’s tourism industry but will lead to serious development in many other sectors.”

“We are not just committed to our projects here in Grenada, but also to the local communities” said Mr. Richard Hallam of Port Louis Grenada. Mr. Hallam says he hopes the new facility will enhance the quality of life for the people of the surrounding communities. Work was expected to start on Wednesday, December 28th 2006.
